All Grown Up

It is really weird when you get together with your high school friends and you are married, but it is really weird when you get together in person and you have kids! Obviously we are all old enough, but it seems like just yesterday we were running up and down the basketball court or organizing some school function. It is absolutely amazing how time flies.

Since "the girls" aka, Alex, Julie, Eileen and Mary all live in different states, it is hard to get together sometimes. But, when holidays roll around we try to make an extra effort to get together and have dinner, drinks or even just a quick catch up time. This time however, 4 kids were added to the picture....it made it quite entertaining for sure! Alex and Eileen, and their husbands Clay and Paul decided to come to Royse City. I was grateful to not have to get the babies packed up and out...I appreciated them coming here. Eileen has a precious 9 month old baby as well, Dolan who I also got to meet for the first time. Molly, Eileen's sister, also came to hang with us. Dolan and the triplets are just days apart from each other, and it was so neat to have 2 of my besties and our babies together.

Dolan loved Abigail, we are petty sure it was love at first sight. It was so sweet.

The babies were totally impressed with Dolans motor skills...he was moving everywhere and I know they loved watching a baby move and grove through the toys. I think Jessy learned quick that she needed to start moving her legs and try to keep up. It was so neat to watch them all together and we are totally blessed with happy, healthy babies.

We ordered pizza and had a chance to visit for awhile until babies started getting sleepy and ready for bed. You know you are parents when you only take pictures of your kids instead of your friends. So needless to say, we only got pictures of the babies...none of Alex, Eileen and I. We had a great time visiting and I am so blessed to have such special friends in my life. We have know each other for a long time and have some great memories!

DeWitt Family Festivus

Every year the DeWitt family gets together the Sunday after Christmas. Each year it is something different, white elephant gift exchange, game night., Christmas bingo...anything fun, we've done it. This year the celebration was at Mimi and Papa's house, and instead of doing a gift exchange, we decided to adopt a family and make sure the parents and children had a wonderful Christmas.

It is always fun to get together with Dad's family because all the cousins are close to the same age. I love being around everyone, and cherish the large family!

Cousin Stephanie couldn't get enough of Wyatt laughing!

Aunt Missie's parents were in town to celebrate. Here is Emma with Abigail...
And I just couldn't help it....this face is priceless!
Here are all the Great Grandchildren...Jessy, Wyatt, Abigail and Tristan
And the proud Great Grandparents, Mimi & Papa with their 6 Great Grandchildren.

Other things may change us....but we start and end with family. Grateful for ours.

DeWitt Family Christmas Eve eve

Wednesday the Christmas fun began. Dad, Denise, Dillon, Jamie and Erin all came over to Christmas Eve eve. I had to take Wyatt to the doctor and the result ended in strep throat. Luckily, the doctor sent me home with three prescriptions, because the odds of the other 2 getting it were pretty good.

When we got home, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner ordered in from Saltgrass Steakhouse and played Catch Phrase until the girls finally let the boys win, hehe. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening.

Here is Poppa, Wyatt and Jessy in their pj's Christmas morning....

Uncle Bubby was able to get the trips in his arms...good job!
We woke up on Christmas Eve and saw that Santa totally knew we were celebrating Christmas early. We had a great breakfast and fed the babies. The trips loved the wrapping paper and bows...
...but were most excited about their Cho Cho Wagon from Santa! They each have their own car, seat belt and cup holder. It will be a great addition to our “choices” of transportation for outings. Come on Spring that’s all I have to say!!

Wyatt got a riding horse, but Jessy had to try it out...

Blessed Momma and sweet babies...
We are grateful for a giving family and special memories.

Sugarplum Triplets

We were so grateful for all the people who voted for the triplets on Facebook for the photo contest with Alyssa Maisano Photography. The babies won outfits, bows and a photo session. The session was done at The Gaylord Texas in Grapevine, and after lots of laughing, jumping, changing clothes, and just being silly to get them to laugh, here are some of our favorites from our session. It was SO hard to just choose!

Christmas Festivities Begin!

Christmas is in the air and that means family, food and a most importantly the birth of our Savior! We start the weekend before Christmas each year with Jack’s family. Last year we went to Arkansas, but this year everyone agreed it might be a little easier to come here. We were grateful for that decision!

Jack’s brother John, his wife Christina and their 2 girls, Kelley and Kacey came into town on Friday night. Saturday morning Jack’s dad, Jack and his wife April also arrived for the remainder of the weekend. Kelley and Kacey loved playing with the babies and were a huge help feeding and entertaining them.

Saturday afternoon we headed to Bass Pro to do some shopping, but to also see Santa. They had lots of neat activities for kids and free pictures with Santa. Here are the girls playing something with Daddy....they thought it was so interesting.

I thought the babies might be a little scared of the big man with the long beard, but nope, they were great.

Later that evening we headed to eat at Fish Camp to celebrate Jack’s Dad’s birthday dinner. The food and company were great! They even had a guy playing the guitar in the restaurant which made it even more entertaining and fun. The evening we opened gifts and the babies got a triplet teeter totter, so cute!!

Sunday the Arkansas family headed home and we went to church. My cousin Gary, his wife Alicia and their children Jacob, Joseph and Faith met us at church. Gary only gets 3 Sunday’s off during the year, and I am so grateful that they chose to spend one of those Sunday’s with us. After church we all came to our house for some homemade chili and just a time to visit and relax. The babies loved having more company around and Faith LOVED being a helper and holder of the babies.

That afternoon we headed to East Texas for the Kasling Family Christmas. We had a great dinner, had our gift exchange, and even got suckered into singing the 12 days of Christmas as an entire family and recording to laugh at later. It was quite hilarious, but Aunt Robin you did a good job getting us all organized for the big production .

The babies loved the paper from all the gifts, and were quite entertained with the people and all the action going on. We fed the babies, put their pj’s on them and headed back to Royse City about 9 on Sunday.

Whew, I am tired just writing this post. It was a super busy weekend, but so much fun and a wonderful time with those we love. Plus, the babies were worn out and by Monday, I had no problem getting them back on track and taking their naps.
The Christmas fun is just beginning…

Funny Times

The babies are really starting to notice each other more and more. They have their own language I swear! The noises they make are hysterical, and the way they make each other laugh is so sweet. Here are 2 videos I just couldn't get enough of watching.

This was a sneaky record. I was changing JG's diaper and heard Abigail laughing over and over. I looked over the bar and this was what was going on. I grabbed my video camera and snuck around the side of the doorway so they wouldn't see me.

Jessy, Jessy...she just doesn't know what to think. She is so serious sometimes, but so funny at other times. Abigail is our social queen if you can't tell.

Wyatt thinks this is funny!!

It's a three ring circus around here...friends and family always welcome!

8 Months Old

What an amazing month of growth 8 months has been. The babies are at such a fun age, where they smile when your silly, laugh out loud often and are really noticing one another. This month everyone got sick for the first time, so that was not fun at all. Ear infections took over and for almost 4 days things were quite difficult around here. The babies recovered well so far, and we are working hard to keep them healthy during this time of year. Making medicine for all three is not exactly my ideal of fun...medicine anyone?

The babies are eating at 8, 12, 4 and between 7 and 8 pm at night. They sleep through the night, and how thankful I am for that! Jessy Grace is usually the last to go to sleep and Abigail is the first to wake up. They take a morning and afternoon nap and are eating fruits and vegetables every day. They all have their own personalities and are different and the same in so many ways.

Abigail Ruth

Sweet, sweet Abigail. She sure is a sweetheart. Abigail’s eyes are so crystal blue, they will just melt your heart. She is so patient, and always willing to wait her turn. She has 2 bottom teeth, and is sitting up well, occasionally losing her balance. She is pushing up with her arms and kicking her legs, but isn’t crawling yet. She has the cutest belly laugh, and she grabs everything in sight, especially if it lights up. Her favorite foods are sweet potatoes, butternut squash and applesauce. Abigail weighs 15 pounds 10 ounces.

Wyatt Michael

So handsome! Silly, silly, silly boy. He is so happy, so smiley and unless your slow to feed him, he's ok. Wyatt is fun and loves to bounce, roll and still loves his "man swing." He does sit up, but if he gets too excited he topples over. Wyatt is 19 pounds 6 ounces and is a growing boy! His smile will melt your heart, and he also has this cute little smirk that is hilarious. He has a stuffed animal, Dan, a green giraffe, that he likes to swing with. His favorite foods are bananas, pumpkin and squash. Wyatt has 2 teeth on the bottom. He also makes this funny noise sometimes that sounds like a baby grizzle bear.

Jessy Grace

Last one out, first one to do everything! First one to get teeth, first to sit up, first to get sick, first to get on her hands and knees....she is making sure her brother and sister know who is in charge. Jessy is very social. She smiles at everyone she meets and she knows when that camera is about to snap a picture, she smiles ready for the flash. Jessy has 2 bottom teeth and her 2 top teeth are almost all the way in. She loves ALL foods and doesn't shy away to anything you try to feed her, she weighs 16 pounds 4 ounces. She has a little dog Cocoa that she sleeps with in bed, but doesn’t care too much about a pacy anymore. She loves to jump and bounce and will be crawling soon.

We continue to be blessed with help on Monday and Tuesday with my grandmother, Mimi, coming to help with the babies. She is here on Monday nights to help Jack while I go to my Mary Kay meetings. She is such a huge help and I am so grateful for her health and ability to come stay.

We have moved and rearranged furniture in the living room over the past month for the different toys the babies are using. I am sure it has something to do with multiples, but it is so great that for the most part when they play they can entertain themselves. Unless they don’t feel good, I don’t have to hold them or entertain them all the time. I am so grateful that when I am here by myself through part of the week that they stay on schedule together and don’t give me too hard a time. However, by about 6 pm I am exhausted and ready for everyone to be asleep...they wear me out for sure!

We continue to give thanks for the blessings of happy healthy babies and know that God has entrusted Jack and I with three perfect people to grow to know Him.

Christmas Photo Shoot

This week has been wild and crazy! Whew....but fun. Tuesday we headed to the Gaylord Texan for our Christmas photo session with Alyssa Maisano Photography. This is the photo session and outfit we won for the Sweetest Kid Contest we entered in November. We were so grateful for the session AND the outfit for the girls from My Vintage Baby.

Chrystel came over and we picked my mom up on the way and headed out. Parking was crazy when we got there, and I wanted to "disguise" us as much as possible so we decided to use 2 single strollers and carry a baby. Of course Grammy wanted to be the baby carrier...
Handsome Wyatt waiting for picture time!

Here is Jessy all snuggled before the session...that is her dog Cocoa
The session was quite the experience. Just getting everyone to look, smile and then change clothes was exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. I could NOT have done it without the help of Mom and Chrystel. Thank you! Alyssa was awesome and had some great ideas for location of background and placement of the babies.
Wyatt was worn out when we took a break for lunch...
Jessy Grace was all smiles and totally all about the pictures! She had a great time.
Here are a few shot Chrystel took with her camera. We will get the final pictures from Alyssa soon!

1st Thanksgiving

Talk about thankful! Wow, this is a year of thankfulness for our family. I look back just 1 year ago, and am in awe of how much has changed. This time last year, I was about 14 weeks pregnant and just barely found out about the blessings to come. It is really hard to remember how life was before they arrived! Here is the post from last Thanksgiving. I cried happy tears as I looked back and read how God has blessed us this year.

This Thanksgiving we headed to my Dad's side of the family, Aunt Missie & Uncle Kelly's home in Bartonville. All of our Aunt, Uncles, cousins, Mimi & Pap were there.

Here are our almost 8 month old miracles...Jessy, Wyatt & Abigail
