1st Thanksgiving

Talk about thankful! Wow, this is a year of thankfulness for our family. I look back just 1 year ago, and am in awe of how much has changed. This time last year, I was about 14 weeks pregnant and just barely found out about the blessings to come. It is really hard to remember how life was before they arrived! Here is the post from last Thanksgiving. I cried happy tears as I looked back and read how God has blessed us this year.

This Thanksgiving we headed to my Dad's side of the family, Aunt Missie & Uncle Kelly's home in Bartonville. All of our Aunt, Uncles, cousins, Mimi & Pap were there.

Here are our almost 8 month old miracles...Jessy, Wyatt & Abigail

Cousin & Cousinettes

We had a fabulous "Girl's Night In" this weekend! The girl cousins all came to our house for food, fun and girly drinks. Only boys allowed were baby Wyatt and baby Tristan. It was a fun evening and much needed I think for everyone!

Jill and Courtney spent the night and went to church with us the next day. The babies loved hanging out with thier cousins!

The Quest Baby Dedication

Our fabulous Church home had a Baby Dedication ceremony on Sunday. It was a wonderful experience to share with our Church family, as so many of them prayed for the healthy arrival of our babies. A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.

Here we are on stage. Mimi has Abigail, I have Jessy and Jack has Mr. Wyatt.

After the church service we all came back to our house for lunch and fellowship. Of course pictures were involved....how could they not be!!

Little Miss Abigail

Ha, Mr. Wyatt....looks like a little school boy.

And hammin' it up is Jessy Grace....

7 Months Old

One day...one day I will get a picture where they all three are looking! But for now, this is as good as it gets! Main man Wyatt is the only one is seems that smiles in group photos...he is always ready to ham it up! Abigail always smiles, but she tends to look away...and the Jessy Grace, well she just is never quite sure.

Never the less, here are the cute, adorable, fabulous and totally fun Self blessings...

Abigail, Wyatt and Jessy Grace

The babies are getting more and more fun. They are really starting to form their personalities, and it is just amazing how every day they are learning something new. They are all reaching, rolling, grabbing, laughing and almost all sitting up. We started introducing lots of new fruits and vegetables during month 7 and overall they aren't complaining too much about momma's cooking.

Abigail Ruth

Precious angel bug....she lights up all the time! She is content, happy, playful and loves to smile. She loves to roll over, back and forth and is working hard at sitting up. She is almost there. She loves sweet potatoes and pears. No teeth just quite yet, but they are almost in. She sleeps well through the night and goes to sleep pretty easy with her pacy. She enjoys the jumperoo and the exersaucer. Abigail is the most patient out of the three, so if we are in a bind with more babies than hands...which is often, she patiently waits her turn.

Wyatt Michael

Little Big Man! Such fun this baby boy is! He is all smiles....if he is fussy it is only because he is tired or hungry and usually those hunger pains don't hit too often ;) He is content, laid back and easy going. He is a great sleeper and a good cuddler. He loves to kick and bounce and while his mid section is not near as strong as the rest of him, he is working on sitting up too. Wyatt has 1 bottom tooth and is working on another one right next to it. Wyatt is loving his fruits and vegetables and so far the only thing he is not crazy about are carrots.

Jessy Grace

Aka, Little Mousey....or PITA (I'll let Dad and Denise explain, hehe) Here is our glamour girl showing off her 2 bottom teeth! She is so proud!

Jessy Grace is so strong. She is getting up on her hands and knees occasionally and I suspect will be crawling before the other 2. She has a stuffed animal she loves, Cocoa, he helps get her to sleep at night, it's the cutest thing! Jessy loves to bounce, the jumperoo and her are the bestest of friends...and anywhere she can bounce, she will try. Jessy LOVES all foods. So far she hasn't refused any of the fruits or vegetables I have offered her...and if her brother or sister aren't a fan of something, she eats it. That's my girl!

The babies are all sleeping well and are eating at 8, 12, 4 and 8 pm. They are eating cereal and fruit in the morning with their bottle, a vege and bottle for lunch, bottle for snack at 4 and for bed oatmeal and a bottle. They take a nap after their morning bottle and another after the noon feeding. At night they take little naps, but nothing consistent. They sleep through the night wake up anywhere from 6:30 to 7:30....but if they wake up early still are ok with not eating until closer to 8. Mimi still comes on Monday mornings and stays through Tuesday, and depending on what is going on that week, I am normally alone during the day. It is good though, I feel much more confident and have the babies "what's next cues" down to a science.

Overall the word is BLESSED! We are so grateful and thankful for such happy, healthy and super sweet babies.

Veteran's Day!

To all the men and women who have served and continue to serve, we thank you!

I was able to go through old digital files and was so glad I had these special pictures of an amazing return home. Abigail, Wyatt and Jessy Grace...you must know your Daddy is a hero and helped serve our country 3 different times in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was courageous, brave and above all graced with God's armor, and was brought home safely.

These pictures from his 2nd tour return day, September 21st. It was a glorious day, as his platoon had lost many men during this tour. Here everyone is anxious and waiting for the buses to arrive on base.

I remember thinking to myself, how in the world am I going to find him!!

But it wasn't long when we saw each other and sprinted into one another's arms...

Happy, happy!!

Here is Josh, the man behind introducing me and your Dad. Josh and I went to A&M together and then left to join the Marines. Via sateliette phone he introduced us....that is a story in itself.

Outside of our wedding day and the birth of our babies, this was one of the most special days I can remember...

Here are special buddies from 3/7 who served in this tour together...

Semper Fi and thank you to the men, women and families who sacrafice so much in order to serve our country.

Marine Corp Birthday & 6 Years Ago!!

Happy 235th Birthday Marines! What a great day of celebration for the United States Marine Corps and the men and women who have served and continue to serve.

I must share this story, because as many of you know this blog will be turned into a book for the babies to have so I have to give them a few good stories of Mommy and Daddy pre-triplet days.

On the weekend of November 10th, the Marine Corp Birthday Ball weekend, in Las Vegas Nevada your Daddy proposed to me and we became engaged to be married! Here is how it all happened....

We came to Las Vegas a few days before the ball. All of this was pre-planned, but Jack had already had spoken with my parents, designed and ordered the ring and created all the details of the proposal. On the evening of the 10th we walked the strip in Las Vegas and ended up going into the Bellagio Hotel to look around.

Somehow we ended up near all the fancy stores and since Jack new I loved handbags thought it would be a good idea to head to the Hermes Paris store. LOTS of great handbags! I thought to myself, "surely I am not going to pick out a purse from here!! Look at the prices!" Instead we browsed and Jack wanted to go to the balcony where 2 chairs "conveniently waited" for us to sit.

The chairs were outside at the time...

We visited for a second and enjoyed the view, when all of a sudden the Bellagio waterfall and music show started, and the water show was all in PINK lights! I think I said something like "wow, I can't believe those are PINK! That is perfect!!" The next thing I knew Jack was on one knee professing his love to me and asking my hand in marriage. Of course I said "yes" but was in more shock on how he got this all planned!!! I wanted to know if he talked to my parents and how exactly he pulled this off, I was so excited! And the ring, it was/is beautiful! The pink waterfall had been orchestrated just for the occasion, and was set up with the manager of the Bellagio hotel to go off at 10 pm....just the time we sat in the 2 seats outside Hermes Paris store.

Here is a view the next day from the balcony.

What a start to a wonderful weekend!!

The Marine Corps Ball was the following night. The Ball is always a fun night with food, drinks, dancing...oh and men all dressed up looking very sharp! Here are a few pictures from the Ball.

Here are Mike and Jen. Mike was Jack's roommate until we all got married. They are like an old married couple themselves, but I am so grateful to know Jen....she is a wonderful friend and we have cried on each other's shoulder many a times as our husbands were deployed.

Jack presenting The Colors before the ceremony began.

A group shot of as many of the 3rd Battalion 7th Marines...as many of them as we could get at least.

What a wonderful engagement weekend it was! I am blessed beyond measure and it truly is amazing how far we have come in 6 years. I look back and see how we have changed, and how our life has progressed. The many trials, tribulations, the laughter, the tears and the memories. I am so grateful to have shared that with you honey. I love you. What a wonderful memory and celebration on this November 10th holiday!

New Table

We are so grateful to our friends, Michelle and Brent Huse http://husegals.blogspot.com who were so generous and thoughtful to pass down this great table! It is just perfect for the triplets!
Abigail isn't quite sure about sitting back in her seat, but the second Wyatt and Jessy Grace sit down they are ready to eat. It is a great addition to the "Self Daycare" we have going on, hehe. I am excited to not only use it to feed the babies at the table, but also so they can color, play and stay in one place...for now....

The babies are changing every day! I will post a 7 month old update this week. They are all getting so big. All babies are cutting teeth, rolling over, getting better at sitting up and are just so much fun!

This weekend we all sort of caught a cold so for the past few days it has been wild and crazy around here. I had it all under control, then Saturday night it hit me and Sunday I was worthless. Thanks goodness for my Mom who came Saturday, then Jack got home a day early from hunting Sunday and Mimi came to help take over with Jack Sunday night. Today has been a good day of recovery, but the girls and I are still snotty and a little congested....Wyatt has stood strong! I am hoping tomorrow we are all better and ready for a good week!
