The love of a family...

The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

I absolutely am happiest when we do things as a family. It brings SO much joy to my heart I can't even begin to explain. God knew exactly what he was doing when he blessed me with the craziest, most hard headed, loving, hard working, thoughtful and kind husband....AND the most PERFECT three little people a Momma could ask for.

On this weekend we went to the Harbor in Rockwall and let the babies just roam! They loved the freedom and they LOVED looking at the water. The sunset was breath taking and the memories priceless.

They are laughing SO hard here!

After we ran and played we had everyone's favorite, Mexican food. It was a fabulous evening and makes me so grateful for my little family.

Christmas Day

There is nothing like the magic of Christmas morning. What a blessing it is to have healthy, happy babies who are so excited about the spirit of Santa.

It's fairly easy at this age for gift giving...it really is about unwrapping the gifts. BUT, seeing the excitement of the paper and bows is super amazing and fun.

They LOVED their tent and fort that Santa brought....

And I LOVE my cross that Daddy got me.
Grammy and Pop Pop were there to celebrate in the Christmas morning fun too, Grammy loves her new shirt.
As my babies grow, I pray Jack and I are able to teach them about the true meaning and reason for the Christmas season. It is so easy to get wrapped up with what is not important and while I LOVE the spirit of Santa I pray that God gives me the right ways to teach. What a blessing it is to be a mother and an honor to share God's greatest gift, His Son!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas Morning 2011

Christmas in East Texas

This year was SO much easier than last year traveling with the babies. No bottles, just load (that's the hard part) and go! We had a great time seeing our family in East Texas. We had dinner at the lakehouse and opened gifts with Denise's family there.

Here are Daddy & Jessy just relaxing...

Daddy, Abigail & Layla Rose

The girls held hands for the first time that night...just walking and holding hands together. Pretty much had to be the sweetest thing I have seen in awhile.

Then we had Christmas morning with Dad, Denise, Dillon, Jamie, Erin & Layla the next day. The babies LOVED all of their gifts. They highlight I think were the rocking chairs and phones.

Abigial is already multi-tasking...ready using her phone ;)

This picture cracks me up, Abigail really likes her rocker!

We had a great time and are grateful for the love of family! God is good.

Christmas 2011

We had family Christmas pictures done this year by Elizabeth Stanley. She came to our house, which made it much easier on the triplets and Jack and I. We had a great time, and I thought got quite a few good shots. Here they are....

Merry Christmas from our family to yours. May 2012 we be blessed beyond belief! Love the Self's!

18 Month Check Up

I'm horrible! I didn't even take pictures.....BUT we got a great report and only 1 shot!!

Here are everyones stats:
Abigial - 23 pounds & 31.5 inches tall
Wyatt - 24 pounds & 32.5 inches tall
Jessy Grace - 23 pounds & 32 inches tall

The babies did good other than wanting to destroy everything in the room. The doctors and nurses are wonderful as they work with us to make it the easiest experience possible!

Everyone is talking up a storm to one another and saying words like:
No
That's All
No ma'am
Bubba
Sister
Daddy
Momma
Mimi
Poppa
Nose
Dog
Help me
Eye

We are WoRkinG on "PLEASE & THANK YOU" as our next vocabulary, but I would say they are doing a great job knowing and understanding words and doing things we ask them to do as well. They all love to dance, hop, and flap their arms like a duck. The run around and chase each other and have a language of their own for sure.

Jack and I continue to feel the blessings of our trio as they are more becoming like little people and are more and more fun everyday!

Trick or Treat on Main Street

Every year Royse City Main Street hosts a great event for the community called Trick or Treat on Main Street. Many businesses in the town have a spot and set up fun games and hand out candy to kids walking up and down Main Street. Last year we went just to get some fresh air and enjoy the scenery, but this year was fun for costumes and candy.

Starring....the 3 Little Self Pigs!

We met some of the moms and kids from our Mothers of Multiples group in Royse City and tried out best to get everyone in the picture.

Who Lotta Bouncing!

Kid's Party Town opened up in Royse City, and it is a great place for the babies to burn some energy! It is filled with ball pits and bouncy houses, and a perfect opportunity to jump, laugh and play. Here are a few pics of the babies in action.

Memories at the Arboretum

I continue to be blessed with help each week from my Grandmother, Mimi. She drives to Royse City every Monday morning and stays through Tuesday afternoon. She loves seeing the babies, but I enjoy more her company and the memories we have created.

We finally made it to the Dallas Arboretum in October for lunch and the wonderful pumpkin displays.

The weather was perfect for lunch...

They had a petting zoo....

"Cinderella's Pumpkin Village" was the theme, the different "rooms" were awesome!

We were all worn out by the end of the day, but it was worth every ounce of energy. I am grateful for the memories we were able to create! God is good!

Dillon's Baseball Game

Uncle Dillon is quite the STAR when it comes to the triplets. They all LOVE him so much and enjoy playing and being around him. The triplets, Jack and I headed to Dillon's baseball game on a Sunday afternoon. It was a good game to be a part of, he did great!!!!!

Here the triplets are talking to Dillon through the fence.

Crib Tents

Best invention ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRIB TENTS!

The girls had started to get out of their cribs, and I knew it wouldn't be long before Wyatt caught on. I had heard of the crib tents from other multiple moms, and really knew it was the only option! 3 kids sleeping with me was NOT an option...I just didn't think they were ready for the toddler beds.

So, my new theory....keep them in the cribs as long as they can fit!

The babies love them! They all try to zip them up themselves and then give us a kiss goodnight through the tent. Gotta love 'em!

Our on ZOO!

I met another triplet mom, Angela and her 2 year old triplet boys, and 4 year old son at the Dallas Zoo this week!!! We were a zoo attraction ourself...

We had been to the zoo before, BUT the babies couldn't see very well in the triplet stroller, AND the Children's Zoo was not open at that time and WOW, did they LOVE it! Angela has taken her boys many times, so she knew the drill...where to go, what to do and when the little people could be "coralled" when out of their wagon. We had a great time, the weather was perfect the company was great!!!

The babies loved looking at the giraffes....

Abigail loved being so close to the fish...

And, Wyatt & Jessy loved petting the goats.

It was a great day!!
