Special Friends

We have so many people who play a special role in the life of our babies. We don’t always get pictures of everyone, but here are a few people who are around quite a bit.

Kathy and David are like family. They are an amazing couple who have been a special part of our journey here in Royse City, specifically for our marriage and the birth of the triplets. They would drop anything at anytime to help us if we needed it.

Chrystel is a friend I met just by chance...amazing! She is a blessing! Kind, tender hearted and so giving. Chrystel and her daughter Madde are in love with the babies. These girls come over and play dress up like you would not believe! I am so grateful for how many times they come to my "rescue" when I am alone or just need a helping hand.

Lezlee and Madi Berry are amazing friends from our Church. At a young age, this Madi is all about some babies, and can make each of our babies go from a cry to a smile in seconds. Lezlee is a wonderful friend with a huge heart, I am so grateful for our friendship.
She loves her some Jessy Grace.

We had a blast hanging out with Jeanette and her son Landon. Jeanette came over to help with the babies, but we also went to her house one afternoon for a visit! We had a wonderful time on our outing, but even more are so grateful for friendship of Jeanette. She is a special Mary Kay friend who loves the babies!
The babies sure aren't shy of anyone new...that's for sure :)

Our New Ride!

Today I felt like the walls were closing in! Everything seemed to be cluttered around me and I couldn't take it anymore! The heat is keeping me from doing a lot with the babies, the in and out is super tiring. But today, I boldly decided we are going for a walk!! In our fabulous new stroller no less :)

Family friends Mike & Becky Harrison had this Triplet Jogging Stroller sent to us about a week ago, and Monday night when I got home from my Mary Kay meeting Jack had it all put together.

How do you get it through a standard door you ask....you fold it up :) It is mostly for outdoors, the zoo, parks, etc. The great things about it are the swivel wheels in front (easy to turn corners), the reclining seats and the fabric the seats are made of...they don't sweat as much in this heat.

I am super ready for the fall! I just hope the fall is longer and winter will hold out for a while...the babies and I have some walkin' to do!!!

4 Months Old

Time goes TOO fast! I look back over the past 4 months and while I know it was hard, tiring and every day seemed like ground hog day…I would not take it back for anything! I have so much fun with these babies every day and am so blessed to have the privilege to stay home to hold, laugh, rock and play with them. They are changing so much and we are blessed with their continued health.

Our 4 month check up was great! The pediatrician was so pleased with their progress and happy with their development and growth. They LOVED playing on the paper at the doctor’s office. It was hilarious to watch them all kick and get so excited with the noise the paper made.

At 4 months these amazing triplets are sleeping through the night. We changed the feeding schedule to 8 am, 12 noon, 4 pm and 8 pm. The babies go to sleep right after the 8 pm feeding and don’t normally wake up until about 7 or 7:30 the following morning. Occasionally one will wake themselves up through the night, but they normally go right back to sleep. I am SO grateful for them being such awesome sleepers. I attribute it to the schedule and swaddling, but who knows it may all be different next month.
Here are what each of them are doing at 4 months:

Abigail Ruth
Sweet Abigail…you will hear that phrase a lot around the house. Out of the 3, Abigail is the most calm and mild natured. Because of this trait, she is usually the last one to eat if there are only 2 people to feed, she doesn’t get all worked up like the other 2. Her smile is the most adorable thing you have ever seen, it is a wide open mouth smile. She will talk and talk to anyone who will have a conversation with her, and she holds her head up the best too. She is so funny, and is an overall happy baby. Abigail weighs 11 pounds 2 ounces and is 23.75 inches long. Her eyes are still very blue, and we think they might stay that way. She loves to swing in the car seat travel swing and loves her pacy. She still does well being swaddled at night and sleeps well at night. She loves the lights on the play mat and also loves facing forward in my wrap I wear around the house.

Wyatt Michael
Wyatt loves to smile! He is in a great mood in the morning and you can for sure catch several laughs when he first wakes up. When you get his smile going, you can often get a few laughs out loud, too precious! Wyatt still loves his pappazon swing and also really enjoys kicking and playing on the play mat or anywhere on the floor really. He is growing out of his belly troubles for the most part and has really done well sleeping through the night. He is a great eater and his stats show it at 14 pounds 10 ounces. He is 24 inches long and developmentally is right on track. His eyes have a green tint, but are also pretty dark so we aren’t sure if they will turn brown or stay more dark hazel. He has a lot more hair than the girls and right now is 3-6 month clothes. He is moving his body to the side a little, but we are working on his strength to move more to his side and eventually over. When he can get control of his head, he can hold it well, but sometimes it takes him a minute…he has a big noggin’! He loves watching the hunting channel with dad, or so his dad thinks ;)

Jessy Grace
Jessy Grace is quite the Daddy’s girl. Almost nightly, you can find her fast asleep on Jack’s chest after she has had her night bottle. Her legs are so strong and she loves to try to stand when you hold her up. She is a kicker too, and it is our bet she will be the first to roll over…she is SO close! Jessy weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces and is 23.75 inches long. Her eyes are a grayish brown, so we are thinking they may turn dark brown. She is eating and burping much better and is not throwing up near the amount as she did in previous months. She has grown out of her wedge and harness, but still likes to be swaddled when she goes to bed. Jessy Grace is sleeping well through the night, but when she naps during the day she prefers to be rocked to sleep and then put in her swing. She loves the play mat too, but is very content in the arms of anyone who will hold her.

We have a lot to look forward to in the next 2 months! Soon we will have babies moving and grooving all over our house! Now that should be interesting!!!

Relaxing at Home

When we relax at home we like to....

Hang out in the big chair and rock back and forth
Take a nap with Mommy
Make funny noises when we're bored...

And even read a little bit...
Our life really can't get much better than this!

Date Night & Birthday Party

This weekend, Jack and I felt somewhat like a “normal” couple again! We had a great weekend together and got to spend time with great friends.

Thursday my Dad came into town to visit and help with the babies. They have changed so much since he has seen them last, and I do think he was quite entertained by their personalities and new “things” they do. He did a great job, and he and Wyatt for sure had a good time relaxing together.

Friday night my Dad and best friend Alex and her husband Clay came over to watch the babies. Jack and I had planned for several months to attend the Royse City Chamber event, Casino & Silent Auction. Last year was a blast and this year even better! The gaming was fun, the food, friends…and we even left with a few auction items. I was so glad we were able to do something “different” in town!

Saturday morning we fed the babies and headed East. Family friends, Katie and Keres Fite had a birthday party for their 3 year old daughter Ava. We packed up for the day and enjoyed seeing our Mt. Pleasant friends. Katie and I had a blast taking care of babies while the boys played outside. We put together some of Ava's birthday toys, rocked and played with babies and enjoyed each other’s company. Super special friend!

Pam loved feeding and playing with Wyatt.

Katie and I tried to get Wyatt excited about his hat, he did not like it!

Here is Jamie Cody looking beautiful with Jessy Grace.

And little Abigail was so sweet and I’m pretty sure stole both Tasa and Katie’s hearts!

Sunday was church and relaxation day! Friends Shea and husband Tyler came over in the afternoon to visit with us and meet the babies. They brought super cute matching onezies (picture to come) and some neat books written for triplets! We had dinner at Fish Camp and enjoyed the evening being back at home and ready for a new week.

Baby Fun!

My dear friend Chrystel has recently become quite entertained by coming over and playing dress up with the babies. It all started last Monday when she and family friend Sandra watched the babies while I went to Day 1 of Mary Kay Seminar in Dallas. It was my first day to leave the babies for longer than 4 hours, and while they didn't seem to miss me all that much, their Mommy was super sad and couldn't wait to get home! Needless to say, they had a blast...just take a look at a few of the fun pictures Chrystel took.

Abigail Ruth

Wyatt Michael
This picture cracks me up!!!!
Jessy Grace
She had the most fun and was the most glamorous of the 3. She was fine with all the "props" but on her. Hilarious!

She is ready for the beach and can't wait for the Florida trip next year.
Fun, fun! Super blessed to have so many people love our babies. It was awesome to come home to see the pictures and to know the babies were in good hands.

Nursery

I realized I didn't post final pictures of the nursery, and from time to time people ask how in the world it is set up for 3 in one room.

Here are pictures as best I can get. The pictures are a 360, starting from Abigail's bed and going around.

The shoe organizer on the door is the of of the "must haves" for organizing a room with multiples. (Thanks Chrystel) It hold various things from time to time, but it really helps keep the little things together. I have only certain age clothes in the closet and whatever size they are wearing currently goes in the drawers of the changing table. It is a packed room, but for the most part I think we have done well with the space and it works for the babes.
