Hospital Stay Day 5

We did get an update this morning from the doctor, which unfortunately is not too exciting. She basically told me that unless we can not control the contractions OR the elevations on preeclampsia increase they will not deliver until the 2oth. Of course if either of those factors are not able to be controlled the babies will be here sooner, but she is determined to keep them in until 35 weeks for their maturity level. I am so blessed to have such an awesome doctor, and a doctor that is so hopeful and believes so much in the success of this pregnancy.

I haven't had a chance for a lot of picture time, but thought I would try to get a few shots from the weekend. Here is my ever growing 33 week belly. Really the bad part is my ankles and legs at this point with the swelling. There is not knee cap and my little toes look like little piggies.

Our friends Tyler and Sarah came from Arkansas hoping to see babies! I hate they didn't see babies, but I know Jack enjoyed having special time with Tyler, and Sarah and I got a chance to catch up as well. Here are a few pictures before they left.

And, the dad to be! We haven't had a picture in a long time!!

Today has been pretty good. The morning started out rough, as I had a few contractions, and then the monitoring began. I will have to take a picture of that so you can see the chaos, it is quite the scene. After an hour Abigail and Wyatt's heart rates were not showing up. Before I panicked I was reassured that the babies are so squished at this point that it is just hard to track them and their heart rates. They contacted the doctor and the resident on call came to do a sonogram to see the location and placement of the babies. The great news was the babies were found and heart rates strong, breathing good, etc. Thank goodness! Bless their hearts, there is just no space. I keep telling them to stretch me out more, mommy will be ok, but they aren't listening that well!

The bad news was....I will never see that resident again! Horrible bed side manners and just did an awful job showing me the location of the babies, etc. When we got back to the room, the nurse agreed and apologized that it made me so upset.

I have rested most of the day today after my eventful morning and enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich, jello and fruit. Hospital food is not that bad. You can't complain too much when they cook it, deliver it, and clean it up :)

Jack will be back this evening and I am hoping we can take a wheel chair ride somewhere so I can get out of the room! Maybe ice cream :)

If your feet or knees looking anything like your face, you are a big liar!! You are just adorable and look as tiny as ever (minus the cute baby belly)!! WOW! I hope to learn from you some day!

I want to meet your doctor. She sounds amazing!

Hi Amanda, hang in there! I had pre-eclampsia toward the end of my pregnancy and my doctor induced me at week 37. I totally sympathize with the non existant ankles and toes that look like sausages! I'll be thinking of you these next few weeks.

Hi Amanda! My MIL is friends with Tyler's mom, Becky. She forwarded me your blog address. I'm so glad she did! She said that you are hanging in there & we've had you, the hubs, & 3 littles on our prayer list! I'm a new follower so that I can keep up with your story! Good luck! You seem to be doing amazing, I was pregnant with one & miserable, I can't believe you look as good as do with 3!!! Can't wait to check back in & see an update!
